The true story about Venerdi Restaurant

Venerdi means Friday in Italian and typically conjures up a feeling of being ecstatic and alive and this embodies the atmosphere at Venerdi restaurant. Based in Hackney, in the East End of London, the restaurant offers a combination of classic Italian dishes with a contemporary twist. The beautiful, streamline interior gives you a warm welcome and as you step in to the restaurant you’re greeted with an authentic Italian vibe. You will immediately be fascinated by Venerdi's incredible cuisine and energy.
As well as their delicious wood-burning oven pizzas, you’ll find all the delicious Italian dishes on the menu from Spaghetti al Pomodoro (spaghetti with Cherry tomatoes,
fresh basil, garlic and extra virgin olive oil) to Rib Eye Padella (Pan roasted Scotch Rib-eye served with Spinach in Peppercorn Sauce) to  Cozze Marinara (mussels, garlic and chilli in white wine sauce served with homemade artisan bread).
Encased in a glass cabinet is a selection of Italian cured meats and cheeses which provides a distinct reminder of being in Italy, and there’s an opportunity to purchase some Italian ingredients to take home with you.
The open kitchen reveals the Italian chefs cooking traditionally made Italian food and shovelling pizzas into the wood-burning oven. The oven retains heat which radiates all over an even cooking area this allows the Venerdi restaurant pizza to be evenly cooked. The wood-burning effect gives each pizza a perfect smoky aroma which is simply delicious.
Speaking to the owners of the restaurant, I learn that Venerdi are very proud of their reputation. ‘We work hard to run a restaurant that makes customers feel at home
and provide traditional Italian food, our aim is to make our customers happy when they come to our restaurant and want to come again.’ This sentiment is reflected in Venerdi restaurant’s many reviews on the internet:
“Family friendly with fabulous food served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere!”
“Simply superb authentic Italian food with really friendly and helpful staff, it always seems to be busy and I’m not at all surprised. The menu has a great section with plenty of vegetarian options”.
“As an Italian myself, I'm picky about where I eat. Italian food is simple. It doesn't need to be fancy with fancy ingredients. Just simple and tasty. With this in mind, Venerdi is one of my favourite Italian restaurants!”
The building itself dates back to 1891 and use to be a pub listed as The George IV thankfully, the pub community atmosphere is still very present. So what’s the most outstanding feature about Venerdi restaurant? Well, it’s the great tasting Italian food, the comprehensive brunch, lunch and dinner menu with an extensive wine list and cocktails to match, but most of all, it’s the desire to create a bit of Italy in the heart
of London's East End and the welcoming community spirit that goes with it. So if you’re ever in Hackney why not drop in and sample Venerdi for yourself. You can dine-in or order online at http://bit.ly/bestpizzae5 alternatively call us on 0208 533 1902. See you at Venerdi!
